Some sites involved in the project have long-standing monitoring programs, while others performed baseline monitoring at the beginning of the project. The project protocol was intended to provide data consistent with the long-standing monitoring programs at some of the more established sites. A key variable, percent vegetative cover, is expected to respond to treatments and to indicate habitat suitability for ground-nesting bees.
